⏱️ 2-Minute Dhamma (Ep. 6/10)
“A candle loses nothing of its radiance by lighting another candle; together, they banish the darkness of the world.”
1. Seconds 0–30: The Daily Friction
A peer lands the lucrative client, wins the prestigious fellowship, or achieves glowing public honors. Deep in the primal subconscious, a subtle sting flares: ‘Why wasn’t it me?’ This is envy—the corrosive toxin that impoverishes the soul.
2. Seconds 31–75: The Dharma Paradigm Shift
The Buddha revealed the most effortless spiritual alchemy: Muditā (Sympathetic Joy). When one candle ignites ten thousand others, its own flame is never diminished; rather, the chamber blazes with brilliance. The moment you genuinely rejoice in another’s virtue, your energetic frequency tunes to their merit, harvesting identical spiritual dividends instantaneously without spending a penny.
3. Seconds 76–105: The 30-Second Micro-Action
For 30 seconds: Bring to mind an individual whose good fortune recently triggered envy. Smile genuinely. Proclaim silently: ‘Sādhu! I celebrate your victory; may your blessings multiply a thousandfold.’ Rest at the 7th base of the mind, feeling your heart expand into infinite wealth.
Seconds 106–120: Pocket Wisdom
“When you rejoice in the blessings of others, the entire universe becomes your personal harvest of joy.”
Carry this stillness with you into your day. See you in the next episode.
