In a past life, this man was a ruthlessly greedy merchant who prioritized profit over human lives. He operated a factory producing entirely counterfeit medicines containing zero therapeutic value, and secretly adulterated food products with highly toxic chemicals to artificially extend their shelf life. Desperate patients who consumed his fake medicine not only failed to heal but often suffered fatal allergic reactions. Those eating his adulterated food developed severe chronic illnesses. Cold-bloodedly poisoning the masses for profit constitutes a severe, indirect form of mass murder (Panatipata).
2. The Retribution of Karma
- Incurable, Agonizing Diseases: In his current life, this karma ensures he is born with bizarre, incurable chronic illnesses. His body is racked with immense pain, feeling exactly as if highly toxic chemicals are slowly corroding his internal organs. Ironically, the more he seeks medical help, the more doctors misdiagnose him or prescribe the wrong medications, exacerbating his agony.
- A Short Life and a Painful Death: The karma of indirectly shortening others’ lives aggressively severs his own lifespan. He is destined to die young, enduring unimaginable physical agony mirroring the exact suffering of his past victims.
- The 1st Major Hell (Sanjiva Naraka): Immediately upon passing, his inner body will plunge into the 1st Major Hell. Hell wardens will violently force boiling, putrid black acid down his throat. As the acid flows, his internal organs will instantly melt and violently burst from his body. He will regenerate only to face this excruciating torture endlessly for entire Buddha eras.
