Executive Summary: Karma of Domestic Violence and Beating One’s Family
A case study from the Dream in Dream Kindergarten exposing the horrifying retribution of domestic violence. Brutally beating a defenseless wife and children guarantees the perpetrator will be smashed by iron hammers in hell, be born into violently abusive homes, and suffer a lifetime of shattered bones and paralyzing terror.
1. The Monster in the Home
In a past life, this man was a highly aggressive patriarch heavily addicted to alcohol. Upon returning home intoxicated, he would routinely erupt in blind rage, using his fists and weapons to “Brutally Beat his Wife and Children” without mercy, simply to vent his own frustrations. His home, which should have been a safe sanctuary, became a terrifying prison where his family lived in constant, paralyzing fear, covered in bruises and weeping in silence. Using sheer physical force to terrorize and physically brutalize weaker family members is a profoundly cruel sin that utterly destroys the sanctity of the family unit.
2. The Retribution of Karma
- The 5th Major Hell (Maha Roruva Naraka): The instant he died, his inner body was dragged down to the 5th Major Hell. Monstrous hell wardens wielded massive, red-hot iron hammers to relentlessly smash his body, violently shattering every bone in his frame. He screamed in excruciating, deafening agony, only to be resurrected and smashed again for uncountable eons—the absolute penalty for brutalizing his family.
- Born into Highly Abusive Homes: When the karma dilutes enough to permit a human rebirth, he is karmically locked into being born into a highly violent, “Abusive Home.” His parents will be aggressive alcoholics. From childhood to adulthood, he will become the helpless victim, routinely and “Brutally Beaten” black and blue, intimately experiencing the exact physical and emotional torment he once inflicted on his own wife and children.
- Shattered Bones and Paralyzing Trauma (PTSD): He is karmically guaranteed to suffer severe accidents or violent assaults resulting in “Multiple Bone Fractures” or permanent disability. Psychologically, his nervous system will be shattered; he will suffer from severe trauma and PTSD, constantly flinching and living in paralyzing terror of being attacked. He will never experience a peaceful, loving family life.
3. Spiritual Solutions
Luang Por Dhammajayo issues a stern truth: “A home should be a heavenly sanctuary, not a hell realm.” Inflicting physical violence on family members violently severs all pathways to prosperity; an abuser will never find true peace. Any person who has violently abused their spouse or children must stop absolutely and immediately. They must permanently quit alcohol, fall to their knees to beg for genuine forgiveness, and radically transform into a deeply loving protector of the family. They must flawlessly observe the 5 Precepts and meditate intensely to radiate Metta (loving-kindness), desperately attempting to dissolve the inferno of rage in their hearts and extinguish the karmic hellfire threatening their future.
