Executive Summary: Karma of Forcing Animals to Fight for Gambling

A case study from the Dream in Dream Kindergarten exposing the brutal karma of blood sports. Forcing animals to fight (like cockfighting or bullfighting) for entertainment and gambling guarantees the perpetrator will suffer agonizing torture in hell, be born with physical deformities, and live a life plagued by severe violence and paranoia.

1. The Arena of Blood and Greed

In a past life, this man was a local mafia boss and a prominent gambling ringleader. He possessed a deeply cruel nature and derived immense wealth and entertainment from “Forcing Animals to Fight for Blood Sports.” He organized brutal cockfights, fish fights, and bullfights. He would ruthlessly train these animals and force them into arenas to tear each other apart until they were blinded, crippled, or dead. While the animals suffered excruciating agony and terror, he and his gamblers cheered enthusiastically, counting their bloody profits. Deriving joy and wealth from the agonizing pain and mutilation of sentient beings is a catastrophic violation of the 1st Precept, creating a terrifying reservoir of violent karma.

2. The Retribution of Karma

  • The 1st Major Hell (Sanjiva Naraka): The instant he died, his inner body was violently dragged into the 1st Major Hell. He was relentlessly attacked by monstrous hell wardens bearing the heads of roosters and bulls. They mercilessly pecked, gored, and slashed his body into pieces. As soon as he died from the agony, the hellish winds resurrected him instantly, only to be butchered again. He suffered this ceaseless, gory torment for millions of eons—the exact karmic reflection of the blood sports he orchestrated.
  • Physical Deformities and Severe Mutilation: When the karma eventually dilutes enough to permit a human rebirth, the residual violence physically mutilates his biology. He is highly likely to be born with “Severe Physical Deformities,” such as missing limbs, a deformed face, or blindness in one eye. Throughout his life, he will be remarkably accident-prone, frequently suffering deep, bloody lacerations mirroring the wounds of the animals he forced to fight.
  • A Target for Brutal Violence and Paranoia: The karmic wheel ensures absolute poetic justice. He will be karmically magnetized to toxic, dangerous environments where he is constantly “Bullied, Ganged Up On, and Brutally Beaten” by thugs or powerful abusers. He will be utterly defenseless, living his entire life in a state of extreme paranoia and paralyzing fear, perfectly mirroring the terror of the animals trapped in his arenas.

3. Spiritual Solutions

Luang Por Dhammajayo emphasizes: “Every being cherishes its own life; every being fears pain.” Exploiting animals for blood sports is an act of supreme cruelty that guarantees an unimaginably painful future. Anyone who has ever engaged in organizing or betting on animal fights must permanently sever all ties to this dark industry immediately. To desperately counter this violent karma, they must actively save lives by rescuing animals destined for the slaughterhouse, flawlessly observe the 1st Precept, and practice intense Metta (Loving-kindness) meditation. They must beg the universe and their countless animal victims for forgiveness, hoping to slightly dilute the horrific violence waiting for them.
