Case Study: Karma of Bullying and Extorting Money from the Weak

1. The Cowardly Predator

In a past life, this man was a ruthless street thug and bully. Deep down, he was a massive coward who never picked fights with strong men. Instead, he preyed exclusively on the weak. He habitually lurked around schools and markets, physically “Assaulting, Bullying, and Extorting Money from Young Students, the Elderly, and Poor Vendors.” He would demand “protection money” and steal their belongings, violently beating anyone who resisted. Using brute physical strength and terror to rob completely defenseless people is a deeply shameful hybrid of Adinnadana (Theft) and Vihimsa (Cruelty) that severely degrades the soul’s power.

2. The Retribution of Karma

• The 3rd Major Hell (Sanghata Naraka): The instant he died, his cruel sins dragged him into Sanghata Naraka. Monstrous, towering hell wardens wielding red-hot spiked clubs relentlessly chased him down. He crawled on his knees, weeping and begging for mercy in absolute, pathetic terror, but the wardens brutally smashed every bone in his body. He suffered this agonizing physical beating and extreme psychological terror for millions of eons.
• Born Weak, Sickly, and Crippled by Paranoia: When the karma permits a human rebirth, his spirit is entirely broken. He is karmically cursed to be born with a “Frail, Sickly, and Stunted Physical Body.” Psychologically, he will possess an intensely “Cowardly, Paranoid, and Easily Frightened Personality.” He will constantly lack self-confidence and will automatically become the primary target for severe bullying in schools and workplaces.
• Constantly Extorted by Mafias and Gangs: The karmic wheel ensures he tastes the terror of extortion. If he manages to start a small business, he will be relentlessly targeted by “Corrupt Police, Ruthless Mafias, and Street Gangs.” They will constantly threaten his life and extort his hard-earned money, forcing him to live in absolute fear and crushing poverty, mirroring the exact terror he once inflicted on his victims.

3. Spiritual Solutions

Luang Por Dhammajayo issues a heavy warning: “The money you extort from the terrified weak today is the ransom you will pay to hellish demons tomorrow.” Bullying and extortion are acts of extreme spiritual cowardice that guarantee a life of perpetual victimization. Anyone who has ever been a school bully, extorted money from peers, or abused their power to rob the defenseless must instantly repent. Return the stolen money and apologize to the victims. Flawlessly observe the 2nd Precept. To desperately attempt to mitigate this terrifying curse of cowardice, they must heavily “Sponsor Scholarships for Poor Students, Volunteer to Protect the Vulnerable, and Practice Intense Loving-Kindness (Metta).” Only by actively defending the weak can they hope to slightly heal their own doomed, terrified destiny.
