[English] Sequence of Events and Absolute Karmic Analysis
- How it is done: Sharing offensive images (like monkeys as monks) and claiming ‘I didn’t know it was a sin’ or ‘ignorance.’
- Where it is done: Comments and social media feeds.
- Who is affected: Severely damages one’s own spiritual intelligence and wisdom.
- Immediate Result: Temporary amusement completely devoid of moral dread.
- Broader Impact: Society loses its moral compass, excusing spiritual vandalism as ‘innocent ignorance.’
- The Real Karmic Consequences: Destroying the religion out of ignorance results in unimaginably heavy karma! In this life, you will face endless financial struggle, your family will suffer alongside you, and you will find no love—only hatred and isolation. Your life will be engulfed in gloom and suffering. Ignorance provides no immunity; upon death, this heavy karma will drag you into the lower realms.
- How to Fix it: Once you realize it, ‘Urgently delete what you shared!’ Claiming ignorance doesn’t stop the karma, but deleting the post unlocks you from this worldly curse. Stop the karmic bleeding immediately.
⚠️ Worse Than Devadatta? Why Doesn’t the Earth Swallow Modern Sinners?
If we compare the karma of destroying the religion today to ancient times, digital karma is exponentially heavier. In the past, Devadatta committed severe sins against the Buddha, but the damage was limited by the lack of communication technology.
Today, sharing a disrespectful image, or mass groups committing grave sins via mass media (such as the heavily broadcasted sieges on major temples like Wat Phra Dhammakaya), broadcasts hatred and disrespect to the entire world instantly. It destroys the faith of millions in mere seconds! If we measure karma by the sheer volume of minds corrupted, a modern internet user’s karma for actively destroying the religion can theoretically outweigh even Devadatta’s!
The only reason people today sin so boldly is that the results are not instantly visible. During the Buddha’s time, extreme sins resulted in the earth instantly swallowing the sinner. Today, the delayed reaction creates a false sense of security. The earth may not split open right now, but the massive accumulation of digital karma guarantees a devastating retribution in the hell realms.
