It is difficult at the first stop. The first stops are a little difficult because we are not used to stopping the mind within. We are used to stopping the mind outside, with people, animals, things, business and work, home and household.
Stopping the mind outside only brings mere amusement, spending the days away. But if we ask whether there is happiness, there is no real happiness. It is only amusement — neither happy nor unhappy.
But we think it is happiness, because we do not know what happiness is. To know the word happiness, or what happiness contains, or to reach the true meaning of the word happiness, the mind must come to a standstill. Only then does this word appear.
