EP.18 : A Comfortable Mood, Don’t Listen Passively
Don’t be so restless that you forget to listen. Don’t listen passively. Don’t look down on the words — advice that is simple, as if there were nothing to it. This is where it matters.
If you don’t understand this now, you’ll do it incorrectly later, and then it will be difficult, and it will make us weary of meditation practice.
Make the mind calm, soft, gentle and mild, at whatever point comes first, without having to pay attention to the various bases, so that we may come to know the word “a comfortable mood.”
And it will come by itself, when we seek nothing, desire nothing — just be still, stop and be still, soft and gentle and mild. Soon the comfortable mood will come. Get this point down first.
