1. Paving the Way for Convenience
During his lifetime, this man possessed unwavering faith. He frequently volunteered to drive monks to their religious engagements. When a major opportunity arose, he gathered funds to sponsor a brand-new passenger van for the temple, ensuring the monastic community could travel safely and comfortably to propagate the Dhamma in rural provinces. Providing convenience to those doing good is a massive merit that bears fruit rapidly.
2. The Blessings of Providing Convenience
- Celestial Wealth and Divine Chariots: Upon passing, he was reborn in the Tavatimsa Heaven with a radiant mansion. Most exclusively, he was blessed with magnificent “Divine Chariots” (Devaratha) that glide effortlessly according to his mere thoughts—the direct celestial reward for offering a vehicle to the Sangha.
- Lightning-Fast Success: When reborn as a human, this merit ensures he embodies the trait of “think instantly, act instantly, succeed instantly.” Whatever business or project he undertakes will advance and succeed at lightning speed, outpacing his competitors without encountering any roadblocks.
- Safe and Luxurious Travel: He will always possess high-quality, luxurious vehicles. Wherever he travels in the world, he will experience ultimate convenience. Furthermore, protective deities will shield him completely from traffic accidents and travel hazards.
3. Luang Por’s Teaching
Luang Por Dhammajayo cites the Buddha’s words: “The giver of vehicles is the giver of happiness.” Facilitating the travel of monks, the supreme field of merit, saves their time and preserves their physical health so they have the energy to teach the Dhamma. Consequently, this merit reflects back as “Speed” in achieving all of the donor’s life goals—both worldly goals (massive wealth) and spiritual goals (rapid enlightenment).
