Executive Summary: Karma of Spreading Malicious Gossip and Breaking Families Apart

A case study from the Dream in Dream Kindergarten exposing the devastating doom of malicious gossip (Pisunavaca). Intentionally spreading rumors to destroy relationships and break apart families guarantees the perpetrator will suffer severely in hell, be born with facial deformities, and suffer a lifetime of heartbreak, betrayal, and broken homes.

1. The Sower of Discord

In a past life, this woman possessed a deeply jealous and toxic personality. Whenever she saw a happy couple or a loving family, she was consumed by envy and made it her mission to destroy them. She aggressively engaged in “Malicious Gossip and Slander,” fabricating lies, twisting truths, and spreading toxic rumors to sow intense paranoia between husbands and wives. She manipulated situations until loving families were torn apart by violent arguments, ultimately resulting in “Bitter Divorces and Broken Homes.” While innocent children cried over their shattered families, she felt a sadistic sense of satisfaction. Deliberately destroying the sacred bond of a family through malicious speech is a severe karmic violation that violently darkens the soul.

2. The Retribution of Karma

  • The 4th Major Hell (Roruva Naraka): The instant she died, her inner body was dragged into the 4th Major Hell, specifically tailored for those who weaponize speech. Monstrous hell wardens used red-hot iron hooks to rip her mouth open, plunging flaming spears down her throat while forcing her to drink boiling acid. She suffered excruciating, unending agony for millions of eons—the exact cosmic penalty for using her mouth to destroy the happiness of others.
  • Facial Deformities and Toxic Communication: When the karma eventually permits a human rebirth, the residual sin actively destroys her physical mouth. She is karmically guaranteed to be born with “A Deformed Mouth, Cleft Palate, or Severe Halitosis (Bad Breath).” Furthermore, she will suffer the curse of “Misunderstood Speech.” Even when she tries to be helpful, her words will always be misinterpreted as sarcastic or manipulative, causing her to constantly clash with everyone around her.
  • Eternally Heartbroken and Broken Marriages: The karmic wheel executes flawless, poetic justice. The destroyer of families will have her own family destroyed. She will be “Cursed in Love,” constantly encountering abusive or unfaithful partners. Any marriage she attempts will be plagued by extreme paranoia, toxic arguments, and will inevitably end in a “Devastating Divorce.” She will die lonely and heartbroken, exactly mirroring the pain she once inflicted.

3. Spiritual Solutions

Luang Por Dhammajayo issues an uncompromising warning: “A few toxic words can slaughter a person’s soul and burn a family to ashes.” Fabricating rumors to break people apart is a heavy, dark sin. Anyone who has ever engaged in malicious gossip, intentionally caused a couple to break up, or sowed discord in a workplace must permanently seal their lips from such negativity instantly. They must flawlessly observe the 4th Precept and actively practice “Piyavaca” (Speech that Unites and Encourages). To desperately attempt to mitigate this severe karmic debt, they must practice intense Metta meditation, dedicate merit to the families they destroyed, and spend the rest of their lives actively helping to reconcile broken relationships.
