This experience happened while sitting in meditation. There was no expectation of what would happen. I simply sat down, closed my eyes, breathed gently, and let the mind settle.

In less than one minute, the mind — which had been racing with thoughts — gradually grew quiet. The thoughts that had been running back and forth began to stop. Not because I forced them, but because the mind started to feel peace from within.

What happened was nothing extraordinary. No mysterious visions. No voices from above. Just the feeling that the mind had truly stopped — for the very first time knowing that “our mind can stop.”

Many people think meditation requires sitting for hours or years of practice. But this experience showed that one minute is enough — if the mind is ready and not forced.

The key is: do not expect. Do not try to see anything. Do not try to stop the mind. Just sit quietly, and the mind will stop on its own when the time comes.

This small experience changed my perspective on meditation. What once seemed difficult and far away turned out to be simpler than expected.
