Merit is indeed the source of happiness and success in our lives — it resides at the 7th base of the body’s center, in every body without exception: the gross human body, the subtle human body, the celestial body, the Brahma body of the form realm, the Brahma body of the formless realm, and even the Dhamma body. The merit residing at the 7th base of the body’s center carries a clarity and purity that differ in magnitude from one body to another.
