The taste of Dhamma surpasses all other tastes. The sour, sweet, fatty and salty tastes that the tongue encounters in food and drink cannot compare to the taste of Dhamma.
Or the taste of seeing beautiful, lovely things that bring delight to the mind — it still cannot match the taste of seeing the Dhamma within. Or the taste of hearing pleasant sounds that bring fun and joy — it still cannot match the taste of reaching this point. Or the taste of fragrant scents that bring satisfaction, which have a taste that gives even more satisfaction.
Or the taste of touching soft things, clothes, or sensual desire and sexual relations — they cannot match the taste of reaching this Dhamma right here. It is far more joyful and expansive than all of them.
