Easy but Deep 2 | EP.73 | Do Not Worry When Inner Experiences Change

Meditation experiences can vary from day to day. Some days feel peaceful, while others may feel ordinary or full of activity. These changes do not need to cause worry. Practice is about learning from what is actually present.

Do Not Become Attached to an Experience

After having a pleasant experience, we may want it to happen again. That desire can become pressure. A balanced approach is to notice what arises and release the expectation of repeating it.

Each Day Is a New Beginning

When sitting down to meditate, begin without demanding that today’s experience match the previous one. Whether the mind is very calm or less calm, there is something to learn.

Keep the Foundations of Practice

What we can preserve is comfort, consistency, and awareness. Whatever changes inside, we can always return to these foundations.

Practical Reminders

  • Accept that experiences can change.
  • Do not cling to pleasant experiences from the past.
  • Begin anew each day.
  • Maintain comfort and consistency.

When we stop demanding a particular experience, the mind becomes lighter and more ready to learn. Practice can continue without fear about whether today will feel like yesterday.
