Easy but Deep 2 EP.101: When the Mind Is Tired, Carry Less

Date:

Share post:

Some days we are not lazy. We are simply carrying too many things at once, leaving little energy for what is directly in front of us.

We do not have to solve everything in one day. Sometimes caring for the mind begins by knowing what can be put down first.

Being Tired Does Not Mean Being Weak

The body and mind have limits. Accepting those limits honestly helps us use our energy for what truly matters.

A Dhamma Perspective: Know What Is Happening

When we know the mind is tired, we do not need to criticize ourselves. We simply recognize what is true and choose an action appropriate to our present strength.

What You Can Do Today

  • Take a short rest without guilt.
  • Choose only the most important task.
  • Remove what is unnecessary from today.
  • Sleep and care for the body sufficiently.

One Good Thing Today

Ask yourself, “What is one thing I can put down today?” Then allow yourself to set it down for a while.

Come Back Tomorrow

Resting is not moving backward. Sometimes a mindful pause is how we preserve the strength needed to continue.
