EP.27 : Meditation Is Not Difficult
Meditation is not difficult — it is within our reach. Let this feeling arise first: the feeling of stillness, gentleness, tenderness, and ease. When the mind becomes still, there may be a single flash, less than a minute, when we feel the body expand, or the body disappear, or the body become light and float. Even if that moment lasts less than a minute, or just a single minute, it is already worth everything we invested in sitting with eyes closed in meditation. Then we review: how did we reach that state? We do it that way again, and it will go that way again. From one minute it grows to two minutes, three minutes, growing on and on until we become familiar, skilled, and fluent. But when we practice again and again, we reach that point faster — it depends on our reviewing how we did it, and then doing it that way, often.
